Bringing up kids is so much challenging for parents today that they need to equip themselves. Here are some useful pointers we have discovered that can help us to become good parents. Just remember that parenting is a learned skill. Know how to instill the value of delayed rewarding. Provide structure. Get to know your child by becoming actively involved in his/her interests. Work hard to communicate with your children. Learn the dynamics of discipline. Don't focus on negative behaviour and ignore the positive. You'll create within your child a poor self image. Like yourself and know how to laugh. Successful kids come from nurturing homes. A child's first and most important teachers are his/her parents. Teach your children that there is joy in being part of a larger community, Husbands and wives who do not love each other produce disturbed kids.
